M.Sc. The department provides scholarships and stipends to most M.Sc. Students, contingent on academic performance. After the first year of study, continuation of financial support depends on successful completion of the first year studies and on beginning of thesis work with an advisor from the department. Students receiving full scholarship are expected to devote their time primarily to study, with work outside the university permitted only to a limited extent, as specified by university regulations.
In addition, M.Sc. students typically receive salary for part time academic employment at the department, involving grading of undergraduate coursework and in some cases teaching of recitation sections. Terms of employment conform to the work agreements with the Teachers and Researchers Organization.
