\n\n\n\n\n The past several years have seen explosive developments in combi
natorial design theory. \n \n\n In 2014 Peter Keevash shocked the combinator
ics world when he solved the existence question \n \n\n for designs. This as
tounding result quickly found applications in the field of high-dimensiona
l expanders \n \n\n and the analysis of random designs. More recently\, Gloc
k\, Kuhn\, Lo and Osthus gave another proof \n \n\n of the existence of desi
gns\, and Keevash adapted his methods to a host of new objects\, such as
\n \n\n decompositions of designs into designs and high dimensional permutat
ions.\n \n\n \n \n\n In this special day\, we will not present Keevash's proo
f in detail. Instead\, our goal is to present some of\n \n\n the tools invol
ved in the proofs of these results\, and give several examples of applicat
