The goal of this talk is to present some tools and results developed by Dani, Margulis, Ratner, Shah and others on invariant measures on homogeneous spaces which are used in the work of Bader, Fisher, Miller and Stover. These include Ratner’s measure classification, Dani-Margulis linearization method and Mozes-Shah theorem.
