Title: Exploring how the universe began with mean curvature flow

Abstract:
I present how mean curvature flow and the Thurston Geometrization Classification allow us to make progress in showing how the first observable epoch of the universe, inflation, gets started notwithstanding very inhomogeneous initial conditions and the potential formation of localized singularities. This also offers a potential path towards proving the de Sitter no hair conjecture.
