The Mark Gordon Distinguished Visiting Professorship in Mathematics enables the Einstein Institute to benefit from a one-month visit of world-class mathematician who will give several talks and workshops.

In 2026, we will host Prof. Henri Darmon (McGill University, Montreal), who will be discussing the topic of Modular cocycles and class field theory.

The Gordon Memorial Lectures will be accompanied by a workshop: "Advances in Arithmetic Geometry: Rational Points, Galois Groups and L-Functions".
