Title: Heights and measures in arithmetic dynamics II
Abstract: I will give a gentle introduction to the dynamics of rational maps over number fields K, mostly in one variable. To a given map, one can attach a height function on algebraic points. A first central theme is the equidistribution of points of small height, after taking a completion of K, with respect to a canonical measure. A second theme is the study of the moduli space of rational maps: here, a naive height function may be refined to a certain quadratic norm on the attached measures; its distance function can detect similarities in the dynamics.
