Title: Hypertranscendence and q-difference equations over fields of elliptic functions.

Abstract: A general principle explored by various authors asserts that it is impossible for a power series to simultaneously satisfy an ODE, as well as a linear difference equation (or two independent difference equations), both with polynomial coefficients, unless it is itself a rational function. We shall present similar results when the coefficients come from a field of elliptic functions. While the tools used are similar (differential or difference Picard Vessiot theory), interesting new phenomena arise. Some of the results are ongoing work with Hardouin and Roques.
