Title: (Algebraic structure) Tensor ranks and their applications
Abstract:
Tensors are high-order analogs of matrices. There are several notions of "tensor rank" that extend the standard notion of matrix rank to tensors. In this talk I will survey these notions, and their applications in combinatorics and in computer science. Of a special interest would be tensors that are formed as high tensor powers of base tensors.
