Abstract: In this talk we will summarize the ideas and results in the joint paper with
B. Weiss, “Generalized interval exchanges and the 2-3 conjecture”, Cent. Eur.
J. Math. 3 (2005), no. 3, 412-429, on the Furstenberg 2 − 3 conjecture, where
the entropies of the maps are zero. Some additional results and problems will be
discussed.
