Title: Periodicity in the cumulative hierarchy
Abstract: Through the lectures we will discuss the main ideas and theorems of the article " Periodicity in the cumulative hierarchy" by Gabriel Goldberg and Farmer Schlutzenberg. Starting with the fact that ZFC isn't consistent with the existence of an elementary embedding of the universe to itself, we'll prove (under ZF) that an elementary embedding of V_alpha to itself can be defined by parameters if and only if alpha is odd. In the second part, we will reconsider L'os Theorem and its use of AC, construct another proof of the periodicity, and talk about Reinhardt Cardinals and some results about them.
