The amplituhedron was defined by Arkani-Hamed and Trnka in 2013 in their study of N=4 Super Yang-Mills scattering amplitudes. A central conjecture was to show that the space is triangulated using certain collections of subspaces called the Britto-Cachazo-Feng-Witten (BCFW) triangulations.
We will review the definition of the amplituhedron and its motivation, and then briefly describe the recent resolution of this conjecture. If time permits we will also describe new results concerning the structure and topology of the amplituhedron.
