Reeb flows are a natural class of flows arising from classical mechanics. There are simple examples of such flows that are periodic, namely: all points return to themselves after time T. The classification of all periodic Reeb flows is a hard problem, with connections to other interesting open problems. I will discuss recent advances on this problem and some open questions. Based on joint works with Julian Chaidez, Jean Gutt and Vinicius Ramos.
