Title: On groups and fields interpretable in NTP_2 fields
Abstract: Given a group interpretable in a given theory of fields, one can ask how far it is from being an algebraic group. Similarly, one can try to classify the interpretable fields. Various methods have been developed to tackle these problems. I will give an overview of one set of techniques, which I believe are effective in the case of (algebraically bounded and perfect) NTP_2 fields. This is a work in progress, relying on a stabilizer theorem of Montenegro, Onshuus and Simon.
