Prof. Alex Lubotzky is one of the reciepients of the 2020 European Research Council’s prestigious Advanced Grant for groundbreaking research "Stability and Testability: Groups and Codes".

ERC Advanced Grants are awarded to established researchers with a track record of significant research achievements. The Advanced Grants are awarded for a five-year period and they can be worth up to €2.5 million.
The Principal Investigators should be exceptional leaders in terms of originality and significance of their research contributions. Proposals are evaluated by selected international peer reviewers who assess them on the basis of excellence as the sole criterion. Only the highest ranked proposals are offered an ERC grant.
