The prize was established by Paul Erdős in 1977 in honor of his parents, and is awarded annually to Israeli mathematicians under 40.
Congratulations to Dr. Noam Lifschitz for receiving the Nessyahu prize for the best Israeli Ph.D. thesis, awarded by the Israeli Mathematical Union.
The Haim Nessyahu Prize in Mathematics is awarded annually as part of a national contest of excellent Ph.D. dissertations in sciences. The prize was established by the Nessyahu family to commemorate the memory of their son, Haim Nessyahu, a prominent member of the junior academic staff at Tel Aviv University.
