The Abel in Jerusalem day at Einstein Institute of mathematics took place on January 12, with excellent talks by C. Hacon, F. Labourie, U. Tillmann, C. Voisin.

Congratulations to  Yannai Gonczarowski recipient of the 2018 SIGecom Doctoral Dissertation Award,  for his PhD thesis written at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the supervision of Professor Sergiu Hart and Professor Noam Nisan.

Congratulation to Dr. Yuval Peled who will recieve the 2019 Nessyahu Prize of the Israel Mathematical Union. The Haim Nessyahu Prize in Mathematics is awarded annually as part of a national contest of excellent Ph.D. dissertations in sciences. 

Congratulation to Dr. Ori Parzanchevski who will recieve the 2019 Levitzki Prize of the Israel Mathematical Union (with Dr. Doron Puder of the Tel-Aviv University). The prize is awarded every two years to a young Israeli mathematician for research in Algebra or related areas.
